Where it started
Up North Lodge and Resort was started back in 1940. Founder Greg Updog is a family man with strong values. One of his family’s many passions was nature. They would travel up to the north shore every year on a camping trip. The family always looked forward to the trip and it was even said this was the one week in the year that his family would get along. Wanting to experience the quality family time and nature more throughout the year Greg bought a cabin along the north shore. Little did Greg know that many of this family and friends wanted to use his cabin. Noticing this trend Greg began to by property and as time passed and Greg’s new business grew it became the Up North Lodge and Resort that we all know and love today.
